Out Of My Head

My head likes many questions but they don’t like me

they tangle me in knots until I want to flee

but talk to me of magic and I’m as light as air

rising in the thermals to appreciate what’s there

there’s an energy that’s true but I can’t see or hear

only stillness can reveal what ’til now remained unclear

the beauty of the world cannot be overlooked

or only seen in movies or only read in books

step into the elements and feel them on my skin

the warmth of the sun or the kiss of the rain stirs something deep within

I am meant to feel the earth and hold it deep inside my heart

out of my head and into the world sounds like the place to start
