Pee upon the toilet seat I can think of nothing worse except of course when some sad soul puts it into verse Sorry about that.

I’ve just finished reading Every Day is a Poem by the wonderful poet Jacueline Suskin and it’s lit a poetry fire underneath me. Jacqueline writes about finding a poem in the everyday and making meaning out of our lives through the medium of poetry.
So when this poem came to me this morning I thought, why not?
Whilst the rhyme itself isn’t filled with deep meaning it did make me laugh, and I can find plenty of meaning in laughter.
I’ve been working on others similar to my usual style too, one of which I’ll share in Sunday rhyme time this week.
Until then, check before you sit down.

True, true, your poem’s
none too tricky…
But thank the stars
that’s it’s not sticky!
