What purpose does it serve
To have your mind a-whir
Of thoughts and words and busy things
When all the world’s right here
Before your eyes, under your touch, to taste, to smell, to hold
Come out of your head and into the earth, let yourself be bold

I love this, especially that final line! It does take boldness to be present in the present moment. I felt that final line hit, seemed to have an energizing/empowering feeling to it. Wonderfully expressive poem!

Well done, Rae. Love this 💓
Is there a reason you wrote “into” the earth? That caught my attention!

Glad you liked it David 😊
There isn’t a reason, it flowed out early in the morning and I didn’t edit it after I wrote it…this may sound a little strange but sometimes I feel like the ones that come with little thought don’t quite come from me, if that makes any sense at all!

So true. It’s a strange feeling but I like it 😊 What’s the poem called? I’d like to have a read.
