There’s nothing makes me buoyant
like words that can engage
Reading them or writing them
seeing them on stage
Hearing them in music
or watching them on screen
Discourse dished directly
filling spaces in-between
Said or read within a moment
they have power to spark a change
For good or ill they’re physical
imbued in each exchange
The magic found within them
won’t need incantations or a spell
Like this verse it is quite simple:
we just need to use them well.
